Good way to keep your mind on one goal is by listening to music. Different types of music give you a different mood. While lifting I like to listen to rock or a fast paced country song. Everyone is different so let us know what you listen to to keep you focused.

Good idea. Music is something that motivates. My personal preference is anything dealing with fast-paced music.

As far as music during a workout, great idea. TV during a workout? Not so good. You should be in the gym physically and mentally, music can wake you up and can cause you to push up that actual lift.

Exactly. TV would never be a good thing while weight training. Music that the effect on people to help them find that little bit extra that they have stored up and is a must have for me.

It's rather boring going into the gym and no music playing. It builds confidence for me just hearing music in the background that kind of wakes me up.

I'm curious to other responses dealing with what types of music they like to hear during a workout.
